A Discussion of Why YouTubers are Top for Entertainment

In the society we live in there is a heavy reliance to be entertained. It’s not uncommon to search for some sort of distraction to boredom. We all desire something enjoyable to spend our spare time doing. Some watch movies, others watch television but in my opinion, YouTubers are top for entertainment. 

YouTube has steadily grown in popularity since it first launched in May, 2005. YouTube has various features depending on what you want to do. For example, producers can utilize the site to upload originally-created videos, edit them and customize a thumbnail.

For others like me, we have the option to search the billions of videos provided on the site, giving us the opportunity to discover new music, funny videos, or YouTube personalities. Furthermore, you can like, comment, or subscribe to videos and channels.

Because YouTube offers so many different ways to entertain oneself, it’s made my list for the top source of entertainment.

Why I love the Funny Geek, Corey Vidal

            Corey Vidal was born December 7, 1986 and is a Canadian online video content producer and digital media consultant. Corey Vidal is also a famous Canadian YouTuber who’s videos have been seen over 67 million times and has posted over 200 videos. His YouTube channel profile has been viewed over 9 million times. In December 2007, Corey Vidal was one of the first Canadians to join the YouTube Partnership Program, Corey Vidal has over 200,000 subscribers.
            Corey Vidal is sweet funny and loves Star Wars. I remember the first video I watched. It was “DARK TROOPERS – Star Wars Action Short Film” and I fell in love. He is what some people may call a nerd, however that is what makes his video’s so popular. With television show’s such as Big Bang Theory and Forever being so popular Corey Vidal is in the right place to be showcasing nerdy short films. I am a huge Star Wars fan. Corey Vidal posts numerous videos of Star Wars spoofs and trailers, which has a large fan base.

            Another reason why Corey Vidal is awesome is because he made an interactive video with his fellow famous Canadian YouTubers. It was very unique and no other YouTuber has done anything similar.

            Corey Vidal is a very popular YouTuber and will continue to attract new followers due to his unique video styles. He is Funny, nerdy and sweet and that is why I love Corey Vidal.

Buffer Festival Toronto: Which were the Most Entertaining Videos?

            Buffer Festival Toronto is a film festival that showcases a series of screenings and premieres. Tickets are sold to see screenings where YouTuber guests and hosts can premiere brand new videos with the audience. Many of these video screenings at The Buffer Festival Toronto have a following free meet-up, where the YouTubers and hosts of the screening can meet with the fans ,who have attended The Buffer Festival Toronto.

The Buffer Festival Toronto Screenings took place in the downtown entertainment district of Toronto during October 17th-19th, 2014.

            At the Buffer Festival Toronto many Canadian YouTubers made an appearance such as Corey Vidal (ApprenticeEh), Matt Gibson (MattG124), Mitchell Moffit & Gregory Brown (AsapScience), Matthew Santoro, Nadine Sykora.

            One YouTuber that had the Most Entertaining Videos at The Buffer Festival Toronto was the famous Matt Santoro, who has more YouTube subscribers than the President of the United States.

            If you know his name, you are probably among the 2.75 million who follow his YouTube channel and watch his weekly videos listing fun facts. The 29-year-old St. Catharine’s resident is one of the attractions at this weekend’s second annual Buffer Festival Toronto. Thousands of fans went to see YouTube sensations in person.

            Matt Santoro had one of the most entertaining videos at The Buffer Festival Toronto because his videos are interesting and informational as well as funny. He combines all the great things people look for in their YouTubers into one video. Perhaps we will see Matt Santoro at The Buffer Festival Toronto next year.
